Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

look what ~sd-stock gave me as a pre-christmas present: a DD!

interestingly out of three underwater packs they didn't choose my personal favorite but what the heck! thank you people anyway

Jasmin and I did another shoot which was one of the most enjoyable ones I ever did with my models. I got to put some crazy make up on her (even fake eye lashes

) and she dared to do some more posing than last time - now we only have to work the her facial expression but I'm sure we'll take this step next time

Makani (the wolf-dog of my friend Julia) is now much more confident around me and I'm looking forward to taking pictures of her. I'll probably visit her soon, maybe doing something with Makani alone and as soon as she's a grown-up wolf-dog we'll come up with something including Julia as well

I also started to upload the animal packs in single files - finally!
still it will probably take a while till I've uploaded all of them and today I'll be going to the zoo again, maybe going up the hill to the wolves although I doubt that they'll be visible. but I'll give it a try now that it's a big colder and (hopefully) less people are visiting the zoo. keep your fingers crossed - I so hope to see them!

and I wrapped my "wanna have!"-thoughts around the Panasonic FZ50 - my dad is always glad when he can get me something real for christmas not only money. any comments about this camera? experiences? warnings maybe? if so please tell me soon!
