Run! by syccas-stock Run! by syccas-stock
Something new I'm trying and I'd appreciate some feedback - I have some highspeed series taken that I converted into GIFs to give you guys a better sense of motion. Would you like to see more of those? Is it helpful at all? Please let me know :)

Oh, and if someone can tell me which category to put this under, I'd appreciate the help. Can't put a gif-file in any stock-related category, unfortunately :/

Here's the rar-file with the single photos, full resolution:

OMG. This is like the BEST idea ever. Please do more of these. GREAT resource for animation reference! If you did like a whole series of animation reference things, I can say that at least /I/ would be all over those. I constantly need 2D animation reference for motion, and you tend to post some really cool actions too. So PLEASE more.

This is great for drawing too obviously, motion =.

thank you for taking the time to comment and I'm glad these gifs are so well-received :) I will definitely do more - if you need anything, feel free to request motion gif poses in my request/suggestions journal I'll open by the end of july for the upcoming archery week

This is just about the best thing ever. The .gif as supplement to the individual images gives one a sense of how the cycle actually works, while the individual images are useful for referencing a specific pose. I'll be downloading all of these for sure, and I hope to put a lot of them into use, at least for small gesture drawings, just to get better at dynamic poses. I have really had trouble with that. Especially running.
This idea is awesome, and so are you.

You're most welcome ^^ I've been so unprodictive lately with practicing my art, but this looks like a neat push in the right direction ^^

this is really cool, i like the animation idea but i think the individual stock is very useful. I think the gifs do help to get a good preview of the images? so it is very helpful in this way. It's great that you captured this in motion instead of standing still and posing to run. These are perfect because they show the exact balance and movement of the body instead of still shots just pretending xD
thank you very much for sharing !

yeah, I always try to do dynamic, real-life action shots when I have the opportunity and I'm so happy my folks at archery camp are really sporty, artsy people who are happy to help us out :)
thanks for your feedback, I think I'll be making more like these in the future ^^

Great great resource. A lot of stock models/photographers portray very static poses which can make it difficult to find outstanding action/dynamic poses. Thank you very much for uploading this and the .rar pack - these are great!

I'm very glad you guys like the GIF-idea :) I finally got around finding out how to create one and it wasn't as complicated as I thought so I think it'll happen more often :)
thanks for the feedback ^^

I do think this might come in handy!
Yet I think the individual photos would be quite handy still. :)

This is so cool, but I think it would be better with a stand. The background can get pretty distracting :) But I love the idea!

studio space doesn't come cheap, unfortunately. most people use my stock for painting/drawing reference and the background doesn't matter much in that case (single images are available in a seperate pack, so there's no distraction due to the movement) but manipulators probably have given up on me a while ago ;)
we shot these in the grass, so unfortunately the feet are often hidden - which irks me too - we moved to the sand paddock whenever we could (i.e. when there were no riding lessons given there) so the next few series with Thomas and Lukas should be a little clearer :)
