oooooooooooh o.o THANK YOU!!! I didn't know this group existed, this could help me a LOT. I really do suck at drawing men XD I'm better at women but not by much...I sadly cannot upload the drawing I did of the archer, it was too bad. I mean my GOD it was horrible xD I'll try again another time when I've had more practice.

Hey, thanks for making this awesome set!
I used it as a guide/reference for my drawing here: [link]
It's really useful for me since I like archers as characters a lot! ^^

is croutching with your legs wide for low hight a normal pose if waiting to draw your bow from a tree? or even close to the ground? i think ive seen it before but i never thought to ask if there was a use for said pose.

I'm not sure if I get what you mean when you say "draw your bow from a tree" but I have some "archer in the wilderness" shots where Luke's in a tree if that helps: [link]
technically I think you wouldn't kneel down when standing on a tree branch as it would most likely impair your balance, so you'd probably bend your knees to get a lower balance point while trying to find a stable position.
on the ground, however, you can kneel like this if you have to shoot something in the undergrowth or if your target is hidden by a tree branch that would stop or divert the arrow. I've shot like this myself and I don't like it but Luke says he prefers this position over having to shoot a downward angle

we're a bunch of 3D field archers, so in our book every position is fine that enables you to make your kill ;) field archery tournaments usually give you a few difficult targets, too, where you actually *have* to get into an uncomfortable position to even see the target properly, so it's definitely a "valid" pose, if that's what you mean

But I did use this pose [link] in this image [link] with slight modification on the legs. Thank you so much for the pose refs!

Awesome- archery poses ^^ been looking fr some good ones- I can see the longbow but are the others recurves? they look oddly shaped O-O unless you jsut have a really llight one? >.< I dunno :3

I just turned 16 so focusing on gcse's, acheived jnr bowman when 15 but have stopped recently due to emdical reasons inpacting school life O-O I shoot recurve ^^ *is saddened by happy memories*

it's a mongolian bow used by warriors on horseback, that's why it's so small - so that they could quickly change sides without hitting the horse's neck :)
glad you like the photos - there will be more soon ^^
